meet Your New England Wedding, elopement, and portrait photographer: me!

call me kat

If I told you how many times I've rewritten this, you would think I'm exaggerating, but I promise you, I am not. (Hint: this is rewrite number 10 - at least.) Why is writing about ourselves so hard? I mean, we know ourselves best, right? You would think this would be easy, but every small business owner I know has trouble writing their About Me sections.

I feel privileged to be able to call myself an artist. I've studied music for over twenty years; I've written short stories and poems that have brought professors to tears; I spent a semester in Italy learning how to draw; I graduated from a photography school with a concentration in Weddings and Portraiture. Being able to experience so many different types of art has opened my mind and soul to the endless possibilities life has to offer. I'm constantly learning and growing, and I bring that knowledge back into my business, sharing it with my clients and using it to give them a truly unique photography experience.

Big Fan of sunflowers, traveling, & all things love.

proud to hold the titles of "Fur mom" and "Best aunt ever."

My Values

confidence

This is not a switch you turn on and off, but rather a continuous process in hyping yourself up so you can feel your best. You have talents, skills, and gifts that make you amazing. Let’s emphasize them. Let's celebrate them.

growth

I love to photograph clients throughout the different stages of their lives. If you want a photographer who will get those pictures of you during your engagement session all the way to you holding your newborn, I’m your girl. Let’s document you in all phases of your life.

truth

The photos I take should be true-to-you and the phase of life you’re in. Highlighting these honest, real-life moments is what will make the photo gallery I deliver to you so special.

My Why

I wasn't always confident.

In fact, some days, I'm still not. But I know who I am, and I'm choosing to be unapologetically me.

My approach is rooted in making you feel your best.

Helping others on their recovery journey and making sure my clients feel great regardless of how they perceive themselves is essential to my shoots. I want my clients to feel comfortable with me beyond just working well together. When planning a session, I dive deep; I want to know why you want these photos, what you want to get out of it (confidence boost, a day of pampering, or just some pretty pictures), and what you're scared of. If I know these things, I know exactly how to make you feel your best so that you get the most out of our time together.

When you feel confident in yourself, your photos come out better. Plain and simple. I want to help people who feel nervous, awkward, or unsure at the start of a photoshoot leave feeling incredible, radiant, and like their truest selves. My main focus during this process is you.

Whether your truest self is silly, calm, or joyful….

You are welcome here. I want you to feel celebrated exactly as you are; all kinds are welcome, all love is celebrated equally. And prioritizing the things that make you who you are is essential to my craft. This is about you and only you, and making sure that you know that you're worthy of feeling beautiful, because you are beautiful.

Music is a huge part of my life. From pop punk to country, British pop to alternative rock, there's always something playing.

Books are my happy place. I love sitting in a comfy chair with a blanket and a cup of tea on a rainy day, escaping everyday life.

My love for art has taken me across the world. Museums in Paris and Florence and the hills of Cusco, Peru are just a few of my favorite places.

I have a trinket collection, with a small piece representing all the places I've travelled. They're on display next to my elephant figurine collection.

Caffeine is a necessity. Coffee, tea, Diet Coke, or even a Starbucks Refresher. I need it all.

My babies are my world. Kala is a Mini Australian Shepherd, Meeko is a brown tabby cat, and Pua is a beautiful grey fluff ball with the tiniest meow. Any guesses where their names came from?

I have 31 tattoos (for now), covering the tops of my feet to behind my ears and everywhere in between.

Breakfast food is my favorite kind. Pancakes, hash browns, waffles, sausages, bacon, eggs, biscuits, the list goes on.

I watch crime dramas and comedies for background noise: Law & Order: SVU, Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds, Friends

A few favorites: Band - The Maine; flower - sunflower; fruit - coconut; ice cream - chocolate; color - blue; animal - elephant; place - Italy; drink - Fresca; cuisine - Thai; book series - Harry Potter.
